Todd Sandow Analysis On The Player Staff
Indiana PGA Professional, Todd Sandow, recently stopped by The Studio under the strict doctor's orders of Greg Rose and Dave Phillips, co-founders of the Titleist Performance Institute. Todd is a highly decorated PGA Pro who has won several events and owns the Sycamore Golf Club in North Manchester, Indiana. By definition alone, he's one of the most serious players we have ever had!
Todd wants more out of his game despite his success and RC went straight to the TPI Screens and found out that Todd's deep squat test needed improvement. Based on his deep squat results, we knew Todd would "early extend" at some point during his swing. So, RC ordered a corrective deep squat exercise and one of our favorite drills called "The Push."

Really interesting observations with all of these students. Early extension seems to be a common theme among these talented players. I struggle with the same issue as Todd on the downswing. It's been referred to as "the tush line". My rear leaves the line and my right leg straightens through impact resulting in my rotation going to sh87t. The result can either be the dreaded hook or big block to the right.
Can you send me some details on this staff program? I'm in Pasadena, CA and never tried anything like this before. Again, great work.
Best Regards,
Bill Ward
For now we are just testing things out so if you have a video of your swing, I can certainly give you a quick lesson.
Essentially we are creating an online community of serious players and it will be our home base for instruction. We will have players like you around the world, as well as the players we see in the studio. Plans are to treat you guys to special features and events through out the year and of course, be on Staff. Being on staff will be similar to being a club cameron member, golfwrx.com member, etc. Just a little more access to things and a little more attention. Plus, the system we use allows for facebook integration and we are betting that's a going to be huge going forward.
