Check Out The Player Staff's Worldwide Reach

We haven't even officially launched the PlayerStaff.com concept yet but our beta testers are all over the world. The markers show Staffer location when a mobile lesson is opened for viewing.  Pretty cool technology.

Sneak Preview Of The Player Staff Welcome Letter...

In the picture: the original Titleist Members Player Staff that hosted players for the 1st Crysler Challenge in February, 2008.

Below is a letter that new Player Staffers will receive outlining the program.

Player Staff Welcome Letter

Welcome to The Player Staff, the only staff of its kind worldwide.  You are part of an elite team of players that represents the number one staff in golf: The Player Staff.

The Player Staff selection process is based on a variety of characteristics that we cherish at playerstaff.com.  All of you have a love for the game that is unparalleled.  Every one of you has a love for the camaraderie with your fellow players.  Each of you possesses an innate desire to improve your golf, enrich the game, and the Player Staff.  The Player Staff at the playerstaff.com is on a mission to enhance the game, your experience, and your golf.

Staffers will embark on five fronts:

1. Staff players will take part in Special Projects only available to the top players in the country including Titleist research, mental game research, nutritional research, and TPI golf fitness research. You will have access to the most current information on Titleist product development and could potentially be one of the first few “hands on” individuals.

2. Staff players will represent the best of what The Player Staff and Titleist has to offer. We strongly encourage Staff players to carry Titleist clubs in their Player Staff bag and showcase irons, wedges, woods and putters.

3. Staff players will receive special pricing on their purchases including the ball and glove allotment programs.  Please note that the special pricing for Staff players is limited to specially ordered Titleist, Cobra, and Footjoy product.

4. Staff players will promote the Player Staff and Titleist brands and lead by example. The program strongly encourages staff members to carry the bag, play Titleist clubs, and take advantage of the ball and glove allotment program and online instruction program.  We encourage Staff members to successfully recruit other serious players and receive valuable bonuses such as credits toward the monthly Playerstaff.com membership fee and staff equipment.

5. We will plan several staff outings to enjoy Player Staff camaraderie including four possible majors: The Sweden Cup, Ireland Cup, Bandon Cup and The Player Staff World Championship.

Thank you for becoming a valuable member of the The Player Staff at playerstaff.com  We look forward to new relationships with serious players from around the world.

In our players we trust,

Ryan Crysler and Spencer Reynolds
Founders, playerstaff.com

Player Staff Instruction

Head Instructors RC and Spencer show you how to use our V1 iPhone App to send in your video to the Player Staff Advisory Council.  In this particular video we show you how to properly use the iPhone to record a golf swing.  You can use the same technique to record your functional movement screens, exercises in the gym, and short game videos then send to the appropriate Player Staff Advisory Council member.

Bryan Welsh Analysis On The Player Staff

(download)

Over the weekend we posted the "Behind The Scenes with Bryan Welsh" video so here's the followup analysis we did for him.

Bryan may have slight glute weakness, great shoulders, and maybe a lowerbody rotation issue that's either coordination or flexibility.  Check it out in the video.  Depending upon the weather in Bryan's home state of Oregon, we should see a few golf swings to complete his first lesson as a member of The Player Staff.

Tim Weldon Analysis On The Player Staff

(download)

Boston area serious player, Tim Weldon, recently watched our analysis of UK serious player Scotty Howarth and was intrigued.  Tim comes in at 6'5" and has few flexibility issues discovered by our TPI screens.  Find out how Tim will focus his off season work with one simple exercise and drill.

Alex Riggs Analysis On The Player Staff

(download)

Alex Riggs is stuck in the snow but he still takes advantage of the Player Staff Beta concept.   Alex originally sent in his swing video without TPI screens, but after a few looks, RC requested he perform a few screens to figure out what's happening.  Even though his iPhone video went sideways for his swing (hey...we are still testing!), watch how Alex performs the screens and how they relate to his golf swing.

Todd Sandow Analysis On The Player Staff

(download)

Indiana PGA Professional, Todd Sandow, recently stopped by The Studio under the strict doctor's orders of Greg Rose and Dave Phillips, co-founders of the Titleist Performance Institute. Todd is a highly decorated PGA Pro who has won several events and owns the Sycamore Golf Club in North Manchester, Indiana.   By definition alone, he's one of the most serious players we have ever had!

Todd wants more out of his game despite his success and RC went straight to the TPI Screens and found out that Todd's deep squat test needed improvement.  Based on his deep squat results, we knew Todd would "early extend" at some point during his swing.  So, RC ordered a corrective deep squat exercise and one of our favorite drills called "The Push."

Player Staff: Scott Howarth

(download)

Here's a quick analysis and action plan for one of our Staffers in the UK, Scott Howarth.  Scott has very good swing action but we'll need to run through a TPI Shoulder test for more analysis before working on specific swing and ball flight issues.
